Taekwon-do Wales at the GTI September Tournament

A tough day at the GTi National Championships today, the 1st tournament after the summer for the team.

Patterns went well, most competitors had large categories. They delivered their best, which is all we ask.

Sparring was tough as usual, it’s GTI, always is. The team fought well, gave as good as they got. Some take aways for us coaches, such as how to handle tall people, movement again, closing competitors down, and when NOT to stop fighting!

Medals taken:
Alicia: silver patterns, bronze sparring
Lexi: Bronze patterns, Silver sparring
Addien: Silver sparring
Cai: Gold patterns
Logan: Silver patterns, Silver sparring
Maddie: Gold patterns, Gold sparring
Hannah: Silver sparring
Renee: Gold patterns, silver sparring
Morgan: no medal this time, but a huge amount of experienced gained in his new second degree black belt group.

Well done team, rest up now, ready for Tang Soo Do!
