Taekwon-do-Wales is dedicated to fostering confidence and enhancing physical well-being while equipping students with self-defence skills. For those interested in competitive training, we provide opportunities to advance and take part in contests!

QUALIFIED TAEKWON-DO INSTRUCTION 

Our clubs are led by fully qualified and registered Taekwon-do instructors. We have 6 DBS registered instructors and 3 DBS assistant instructors, proudly affiliated with the International Taekwon-do Federation HQ in Korea. Our team comprises: 

Master Peter Kent-Marrast VII degree, Master Patricia Kent-Marrast VII degree, Anthoni Fieldhouse VI degree, Shaunna Ryan IV degree.

We actively nurture aspiring instructors among our students, currently encompassing 6 class assistants;  Madison-Grace Bevan III degree, Alicia Williams I degree, Marcus Yalland II, Laura Brosnan-James II, Lexi Pash I degree.

TAEKWON-DO WALES COMPETITION SUCCESS 

As a leading Taekwon-do school, we've achieved remarkable success in competitions. Our students proudly represent the National Welsh Squad, participating in international events across Europe. We have secured first place in ITF League tables from 2010 to 2014 and a commendable second place in 2015. We also celebrated a Gold medal win at the 2017 World Championships and continued to excel in tournaments from 2018 through 2023.

TAEKWON-DO WALES PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS SERVICE 

We engage with local schools by providing demonstrations and after-school classes. We proudly offer free displays at local fairs and school events. Our presentations showcase the rich traditions of Taekwon-do, featuring age-old practices including weapons demonstrations, self-defence techniques, and sparring

I, Master Peter Kent-Marrast VII degree am an International Instructor, International Umpire, Chief Instructor, Grading Examiner and Welsh Representative and Ambassador for ITF HQ Korea. I have been teaching Taekwon-do for over 23 years and started training in the mid 1970s. Taekwon-do is my life, what makes me happy is watching the students within my schools develop into good people. I believe Taekwon-do is the perfect tool for bringing out the best in people.
