Sovereign Open Championships

Sovereign Open Championships
Another successful day for the team in Swindon at a, new to the calendar, Sovereign Open today.

Great to be back alongside the team, and seeing them in action again, although very difficult being a spectator, fairly sure I let slip a few commands during the sparring.

Silver for patterns seemed to be the trend for the day, accept for Flo & Alicia who managed to break the trend, getting gold each in large groups.

Sparring was on form again, our younger group finding themselves in their own micro group, yet all giving it a good go, team mates or not.

Logan drew the short straw unfortunately, having being bumped up an age group due to height, he had to undertake 3 rounds against a much older competitor.

The blackbelts dominated sparring tho, taking all the top positions available first and second, which included two all Taekwon-do-wales Elite finals, where they put on some great fights.

Finally, to end the day, our little warriors put together a 5 piece team pattern, waited patiently ish all day, and took a well deserved win against an overly confident blackbelt team.

Well done everyone - glad to be back!!

12 Golds, 12 Silvers & 3 Bronze medals.
