Our first week of online training is complete! Five days of adjusting to Zoom software and fighting with unreliable and slow internet, but you can imagine the number of people in the country all trying to get onto the internet at the same time we are. But putting that aside, we thoroughly enjoyed this week seeing everyone come together in these difficult times.
We can see improvement in the students even online and everyone is doing well. As I have said before, it is really great that everyone can see other and chat before and after the training. Furthermore, Pat and I are constantly trying to find new ways of lesson planning that can work over the internet and are now looking forward to next week.
After two weeks of lockdown, online training has been going great! It was amazing to watch the pad work, or shall I say a great new use of cushions, from all of our students. It has shown that students want to punch & kick something and not just air! We will now do pad work every Thursday in all classes whilst we are in lockdown. Also, from watching the screen I have noticed great improvement from the students with their patterns, keep using the patterns from the link on the website because it is making a difference. Pat has put more online stretching videos on the website which student can do in their own time. Remember Pat's videos have a password which is on the email link I send out every night. If you are not getting the email link which is sent out Sunday to Thursday night PLEASE contact me, as there may be an issue with the email system or I might have your email address written down incorrectly.
After week three, We separated the patterns from the rest of the online training this week and what a different easier for the students and for us plus a lot more music and fitness training as well as the basic techniques. Well done us who are supporting the online training. When this is all over we will have to do something special for all the on-liner's
Finally, we have had enquires for new beginner students to join so I am planning to run a couple of beginner classes a few times a week. If your friends or family members are interested please contact me and we can get them started.
